Doors, in Korea and Japan   3 comments

This has nothing to do with Jim Morrison. Maybe I’ll talk about him some other time.

I have never left the house and said, “I’m going to take pictures of doors today,” and I can’t imagine that I ever will. That said, if I see a door that looks interesting, I’ll take the picture.

And it does appear that I have done so. On several occasions. The one at the top is part of the medieval fortress wall that once surrounded Seoul. Yes, that’s an electrical cord running across the path. It’s not my fault.

This one is on a street in Japan. Pretty sure there’s some sushi about to happen inside. Of course, I might be wrong about that. If you know how to read the sign and it says something else, let me know.

(It could very well be noodles. Noodles are very big over there.)

It’s somewhere along a walk around the Tenjin area of Fukuoka.

This is also in Japan. Yeah, it says it’s a coffee shop, but it looked just like a bar inside.

It’s in the town of Yefuin.

This not my apartment. You can tell, because  Jesus is about to walk into the room.

Jesus has never come over to visit Bobster’s House. Not even once.

  1. I’m a fan of doors too. And The Doors. I’ve been meaning to go through my pictures and find lots of doors for ages. Never did. Maybe you’ve inspired me to start a meme…

    • Conor, I always meme what I say, but I don’t always say everything I meme.

A friend at Facebook tells me that Toho is the name of a coffee company and they probably paid for the sign. The shop itself is likely named something else.

Love your site, Conor, and I’m sorry I don’t leave comments often enough. Word in your ear, if you please: more photos, juseyo. You have a lovely eye with the camera and I for one would enjoy seeing more of what you do with it.
